Dear Jeremy and Sidney,
  As chair of the LSST Science Working Group, I am happy to formally
submit the results of our work thus far, in the form of a 101-page 
document entitled, "Towards a Design Reference Mission for the Large Synoptic
Survey Telescope".  You can pick it up in postscript and PDF format

You can also find the complete LaTeX source plus postscript figures in

(DRM.tex is the main file; each individual chapter is a separate LaTeX
file).  

We discussed the possibility of reformatting this document for formal
publication; I understand that the folks at NOAO are well-placed to do
so from this document.  Please let the SWG know how this proceeds, and
whether there is anything you need us to do in the meantime.
