Hello all,
As you know, the LSST general mailing list has been inundated with spam
in the last months, and it has been getting worse. I have spam
filtering on (which rejects a lot of junk to the mailing list), but a
lot is still getting through. With Robert Lupton's help, I've changed
the mail exploder so that it will only accept mail from addresses of
people subscribed to the exploder. All other messages will be
forwarded to me; if they appear legitimate, I can forward them to the
mailing list.

This should solve our spam problem for the time being. Please let
me know if you have any questions.
