Hello all,
As I think I mentioned in a previous posting, I am giving a
presentation to the Committee on Astronomy and Astrophysics of the
National Academies of Science in Irvine next week; I have 45 minutes
to give a report on the workings of the LSST Science Working Group.
Wendy Freedman and Roger Blandford are chairing the meeting; it will
also here reports about the future of HST, plans for JWST, GSMT,
SNAP, SETI, and TPF.

In any case, I've just finished a first draft of my presentation,
and would appreciate it if people could take a quick look at it and
give me any relevant comments (Monday is my last day of work before
heading off to the meeting). You can find it via anonymous ftp by
pointing your web browser to:
ftp://ftp.astro.princeton.edu/strauss/LSST/CAA.ppt

If you have some particularly good graphics that should be shown,
please send it my way!

Also, a quick update on the DRM. I have a draft chapter on weak
lensing in hand from Tony; I hope to get that incorporated into the
text before I leave. Fiona and Peter both tell me that they are
working hard this Thanksgiving weekend to finish their contributions
on the variable universe and supernovae, respectively. Then I have a
fair amount of editing work to do, but I think I can give you all a
first draft of the complete report to look over by mid-December.

			    Thanks, Michael
