Due to delays at some ARC institutions in submitting their
4Q2001 scheduling requests, I did not have all the material
I needed in hand until the beginning of last week. An already
complex schedule for that week plus the distraction of last week's
national tragedies resulted in my getting nothing done that required
more than 10 minutes of concentration at a time. Thus the 4Q
scheduling process will only begin in earnest this week; I will
try hard to have the schedule out by week's end. I am sorry for any
inconveniences.
I will attempt to avoid scheduling any on-site observations requiring
air travel in early October so as to allow as much time as possible
for people to assess the new situation, make their plans, find cheap
tickets etc.
