I just wanted to make sure that all observers were aware of the useful
'Guide Star Plotting Program' that Eric Deutsch of UW wrote long ago. In
it, you simply type the required info and it send you a list of guide
stars and what rotation angles are needed to place them in the guider's
field of view. This can be very useful for those blank fields and improve
your image quality! You can find the plotter at the below address. When
it asks for 'Authorization Code' simply use 'APO'. These charts are also
useful sometimes as finder charts since they plot the instrument
orientation and field of view right on the chart! They will create .ps
files for you to print! It is very slick!
