The APO 3.5m engineering shutdown for automation of tertiary rotation
was successfully concluded on the night of May 7. Scheduled science
operations resume on the night of May 8.

It is now possible to redirect light from one instrument port to another
in less than 60 seconds! Jeff Morgan and many other members of the
telescope's engineering and operations staff have put together an very
impressive system which will greatly speed instrument changes.
