New 9 gigabyte drives have arrived for the DA machines at apo.
Following is a plan to implement the new disks:

1) Tentative plans call for the disk installation work to take
place Sat, Jun 1 through Wed, Jun 4. There will be approximately 12 
hours of downtime on each machine as follows: 
    Sat  8am - 2pm fnstar
    Sun  8am - 2pm fnstar
    Mon  8am - 2pm sdssmth
    Tues 8am - 2pm sdssmth
    Weds contingency 

There is some urgency in this because we have currently no spare disks at APO.
This plan will provide a spare of each kind of disk.

2) At the time the disks are installed we will also upgrade sdssmth and 
fnstar to Irix 5.3.  sdsshost is already running irix 5.3

3) The DA machine file systems on sdssmth, fnstar, and sdsshost will have
similar increased sizes as follows:
