Brian Yanny and I tracked down the cause of the
hangs/timeout we have been having recently.
In fact, since we added the overscan rows to the images.
This caused the clear ccd program to take longer than
it used to. Longer, in fact than the time we had alloted
for it to finish. We were trying to send commands to
the camera before it was finished clearing.
We put in a simple fix: we sleep for longer while we clear.
This is implemented in v3_8 of DOP, which is now the current version.
And to the DA guys: sorry. Once again we thought "how could it
possibly be the camera?" when in fact it was...
