Motivated by the email from U. Chicago, here are the basic filter specs
for the AMBER instrument:
Band Bandpass(nm)
______________________________
K 2.0 - 2.49
L' 3.45 - 4.14
M 4.52 - 5.33
The filter wheel on the AMBER instrument has 5 slots.
Three of the slots will contain L' filters in the following arrangement:
L' with clear
L' with ND filter #1
L' with ND filter #2
The other 2 slots will contain the K and M filter.
Below is the offical policy on the usage of this instrument given to
me by Jim Fowler at APO:

"The AMBER camera is being supplied by the Army, White Sands Missile
Range, for a program that they are running. They have kindly offered
to allow astronomers to use the camera during periods that White Sands
is not using it. This camera has been setup for the White Sands test
and is not an ARC managed instrument. We will not be opening the
dewar nor changing the instrument in any way that could possibly
compromise the WSMR tests. The camera is only available "as is" for
science."
