Hello all,

This is a friendly nudge to the members of the LSST Science Working Group
for several things:

First, I sent around an e-mail some time ago, asking your
availability for a phonecon in late November or early December. I
heard back from less than half of you; those of you who didn't respond
before (and that means: Connolly, Eisenstein, Garnavich, Harrison,
Larson, Monet, Stubbs, Tyson and Zaritsky) should do so immediately.
I will settle on a date in the next few days. Again, what I need is
your availability for a 1-2 hour phonecon on weekdays between November
25 and December 13 inclusive. I also would like to find out whether
you are planning to attend the Seattle AAS, and what your availability
would be during the meeting itself (perhaps during the evening), the
Sunday preceding the meeting, and the Friday immediately following.

More important is that it is time to do some work! As we discussed
in detail at the Princeton meeting
(http://astro.princeton.edu/~dss/LSST/lsst-general/msg.17.html), and
I reiterated in a mailing to the group immediately after the meeting
(http://astro.princeton.edu/~dss/LSST/lsst-general/msg.16.html), the
subgroups that we defined to start fleshing out specific science
programs for the LSST, need to get started. I suggested using
lsst-general as a forum to do so, but have seen no traffic thus far.
Has anything been going on? If people within each subgroup would
find it useful to meet by phone, Jane Price of NOAO (jprice@noao.edu)
can set up a conference call; drop her an e-mail, cc'ed to Sidney
Wolff (swolff@noao.edu), explaining what you need (time of call,
number of people calling in, and duration of the call). If you also
give her the e-mail addresses of the participants, she can send them a
notice with the call-in number once she's arranged that. Again, the
e-mail addresses of the SWG is as follows:
