Hi Jeremy, Thanks for the list of principals of LSST Corp. It would be nice if these things could be explicit on the www.lsst.org site, along with the mission statement as expounded by Sidney. The important point for this SWG is that some of us have a primary interest in making the LSST as good as it can possibly be while some others have a primary allegiance to building the DMT, and NOBODY YET KNOWS WHETHER THESE THINGS ARE THE SAME. Adding to the confusion are the DMT <=> LSST and NOAO <=> LSST Corp. shell games, which have at least been slightly clarified by the recent exchange of emails, in particular by some of Sidney's comments. As for science...yes, of course that is our main focus. But you can't expect the SWG to work with a bag over its head, and the LSST-DMT ambiguity is clearly relevant to what we have been asked to do.
