DDSCAT.5a9 differs from DDSCAT.5a8 in one respect:

• DDSCAT.5a8 contained an error in the calculation of the elements of the scattering matrix (see §22) for scattering planes with . While DDSCAT.5a8 computed the scattering matrix correctly for , for irregular targets only the element was computed correctly for scattering planes with . This bug has been corrected in DDSCAT.5a9.
