Theoretical Spectra of the Coolest Brown Dwarfs from 800 K to 130 K
Taken from Burrows, Sudarsky, and Lunine (2003)

Repository of Selected Theoretical Spectral Models:

Description: The tar file below is a collection of spectral models found and described in the Ap.J. paper entitled "Beyond the T Dwarfs: Theoretical Spectra, Colors, and Detectability of the Coolest Brown Dwarfs" by Burrows, Sudarsky, and Lunine (2003, BSL). The 32 files contain spectra of isolated objects with effective temperatures from 800 K to 130 K. The numbers near the ends of the file names denote the mass in jupiter mass units and the log base 10 of the age in years. The paper and its figures and tables have a more comprehensive discussion of the model set. When water clouds form, their effect is incorporated. Should you employ these theoretical models in a talk, publication, proposal, or any document, we would appreciate it if you would refer to the BSL paper. Feel free to contact Adam Burrows (burrows@astro.princeton.edu) if you have questions or requests.
