Mastering the effects of peculiar velocities
Alice PISANI, P. M. SUTTER, and B. D. WANDELT

Peculiar velocities affect the way we observe the large scale structure
of the Universe, as they contribute to the redshift of objects we observe.
When analysing the large scale distribution of galaxies to constrain
cosmological models, it is necessary to disentangle the effects of the velocities from the cosmological information.
In this work we analyse using mocks the effects of
velocities on cosmic voids.
In particular we obtain guidelines to master such effects and enhance the cosmological
signal from voids, using cuts on void catalogs to be applied to future survey's data.
