Here's your first e-mail from the apo-grim discussion group!
Has anyone been able to get a K-band calibration spectrum? I have not been
able to detect argon at K-band. The lamp works (I detect lines
at J and H bands) and GRIM works.... I've seen an argon K band spectrum
taken at another observatory, and I would think our argon lamp
would produce the same lines!
And if you are thinking "just use night sky lines", could you tell me
the wavelengths of the brightest night sky lines (in the J, H and K bands)?
Thanks, Lauren Likkel
