ARC 3.5M SCHEDULE FOR 1st QUARTER 2006 S.Hawley, R.McMillan 12/11/05 NOTES: ***PLEASE READ*** Except in cases where strong science drivers dictate otherwise (a minority of cases), observing time has again been scheduled in half night blocks. There are 90 nights, or 180 half nights, in 1Q2006. Scheduled engineering consists of 13 half nights of routine EN01 time, which is 7.2% of the total. DD time consists of 13 half nights, which is also 7.2% of the total. The DD half nights include time for APOLLO, CORMASS/UVa, and discretionary time for the Director. In addition to scheduled engineering time, science observations may be pre-empted, sometimes on short notice, for urgent engineering tasks. Such tasks include both work that is required to safeguard observatory personnel or facilities and that allows "hot pursuit" of some significant problem. Please see links off of the APO home page (http://www.apo.nmsu.edu/) for a web based interactive version of this schedule. There are 5 half-nights of unscheduled DD time (DD04) and 5 half-nights of OPEN time in the 12/11/05 version of the schedule. Users requesting OPEN time in March should be aware that DIS will be undergoing engineering upgrades and will not be available for scheduled observations on those dates. ----- EN Note: No science observations scheduled during EN time. ----- EN01 = EN01 Klae X W Routine periodic engineering time. ----- DD Note: Director's Discretionary Time ----- DD01 = DD01 Murp A O DD02 = DD02 Bary C W DD03 = DD03 Rich D R (rm+bl) DD04 = DD04 TBD TBD TBD ----- CU Note: University of Colorado 12.5% share ----- CU01 = CU01 Hear NS R CU02 = CU02 Bend N O CU03 = CU03 Keen S R CU04 = CU04 Keen D R CU05 = CU05 Cunn N R Could not schedule all Jan A halfs at this priority, one March B half assigned.
