Subject: TUI 1.0 Released

TUI 1.0 has been released. Significant changes since 1.0b2 include:

* Image downloads are now done via http instead of ftp. This should
simplify use from behind firewalls.
* The default "Save As" directory is now your standard documents directory.
* The "FTP Log" window has been renamed "Downloads". Your preference
for the location and size of this window, and whether it is initially
visible, must be re-established.

TUI 1.0 is now the recommended standard at the APO 3.5m telescope. Please 
update your installation.  For installation problems, consult your local 
sysadmin or designated TUI contact.  See your Users Committee 
representative to find out who this is at your institution.  apo35-general
message 913 contains additional information about accessing and getting
help with TUI.

Future versions of TUI will be announced via the tui-announce mailing
list.  All users are encouraged to sign up for this list, at:
