All: We've received the shipment of spare parts from Mark Hereld for GRIM2. It now appears definite that there is a bad power supply, and we have some optimism that replacing the unit will fix the problem. On the other hand, there may be other problems of which a dead power supply is only a symptom. We'll know by later today. So, the first half of tonight is going to either be Alan Watson's scheduled program with GRIM2, or a "drop-in" DIS or DSC program as we've done the past two nights. If you wish to be considered for the drop-in, please let me and Ed Turner know by e-mail (gillespi@galileo.apo.nmsu.edu, elt@astro.princeton.edu) as soon as you can. A final decision will be taken at 1800 MDT. The forecast for tonight is for thunderstorms, and it's bright time.
