To all APO 3.5-m users: CorMASS, a low-resolution near-IR spectrometer, is a visiting instrument that is being tested at the 3.5-m telescope next month, with observing time scheduled 3 - 7 May. If successful, it is planned that CorMASS would be available at APO in the future for shared use by ARC astronomers. This is the final call for you to suggest trial observations with this instrument during the testing run the week after next. If you have test science targets that you would like observed, send the following information for each target to Bruce Gillespie (gillespi@apo.nmsu.edu) and John Wilson (jcw6z@virginia.edu) [DO NOT REPLY TO THIS E-MAIL DIRECTLY]: Target name: Target coordinates, epoch: Exposure time: or S/N desired: Other observing requirements: If time allows, your observations will be taken by us and the data will be sent to you. Information about the instrument can be found at: http://www.astro.virginia.edu/research/instrumentation/cormass/ cormass.htm best regards, Bruce Gillespie, for Ed Turner, Jon Holtzman, John Wilson, and Mike Skrutskie APO APO APO APO APO Apache Point Observatory 3.5m APO APO APO APO APO This is message 773 in the apo35-general archive.
