Data is kept at APO on our disks for a total of 7 days, after which an auto delete program clears them out. We recommend that you FTP all your data as soon as you can after your run, but definitely before the 7 day maximum. It is not unheard of for people to make mistakes, overwrite images or just simply delete some (as I did accidentally the other week). If you ask the Observing Specialist, we can write a CD of your data at the end of the night if you place all of your images into a subdirectory on /export/images and let us know the name of the directory and your desire for a CD. We do not write CD's as standard procedure, only when asked. Please furnish us with a complete mailing address for the CD and we will send it to you. We do not archive CD's on site for most programs.
