As a result of discussions with Ed Turner, following the last User's
Committee Meeting, we have undertaken to provide a user's manual on echelle
reductions with IRAF. Evidently, several individuals started using the
instrument, but backed off because the reductions did not go well. Julie
has reduced by now hundreds of spectra of stars. We will try to have this
ready by Oct. 1. IRAF has the capability to do what we want, but we have to
use routines that are not in standard use (though available).
