REVISED ARC 3.5M SCHEDULE FOR 3RD QUARTER 1998

NOTES: ***PLEASE READ***
This revised schedul assigns some, but not all, of the available
OPEN time from the preliminary schedule and corrects the errors
I made in assigning time to WS01, UW04 and DD02.
There are changes from the preliminary schedule on the following
dates: 7/31, 8/2, 8/4, 8/6, 8/9, 8/10, 8/28, 8/29, 8/30, 8/31, 9/1,
9/2, 9/8, 9/9 and 9/12.
Eight OPEN half nights remain. All are bright and seven of the
eight fall between 8/4B and 8/10A, inclusive. The remaining
one is 8/31A. Requests for this OPEN time should reach me as soon
as possible and by 7/31 at the latest.
IMPORTANT NOTE
The web and hardcopy versions of this schedule are not yet available
and will be announced separately when they are ready.

hopefully usable dates in August scheduled instead.

<50% phase moon is *never* up in both halves of the night.

twilight use of telescope. This can often but not always
be supported and should not be assumed.
UW06 = UW06 Toma S R
Gaps in monitoring greatere than 10 days required by mixture
of D and G time assigned to the program and other constraints.
Monitoring programs are difficult to schedule at this priority.
Best compromise scheduled...hope it is OK.
UW07 = UW07 Wyde S R
UW08 = UW08 Bohm G R
UW09 = UW09 Krie D R (low, medium)

UW10 = UW10 Deut G R
Non-block scheduling. See note in BLOCK CAPS just before
schedule below. Priority too low for effective scheduling
of a monitoring program. Best available time scheduled.

UW11 = UW11 Stub D&S R (gratings??)
Not scheduled. Time available at this priority violates
all of the preferences stated under special requirements.
OPEN time in August available if it would be useful.

Not scheduled. Requested time not available at this
priority. OPEN time in August available if it would be
useful.
UW13 = UW13 Rodg D&G ? (gratings??)

EACH NIGHT EXTENDS FROM EVENING TWILIGHT (SEE CALENDAR DISTRIBUTED
BY GRETCHEN) UNTIL 0110 MDT.
FIRST HALF IS INDICATED BELOW AS "A"; THE SECOND HALF THEN
EXTENDS UNTIL MORNING TWILIGHT AND IS INDICATED BELOW AS "B".
THIS QUARTER THREE DIFFERENT PROGRAMS USE NON-BLOCK SCHEDULING.
THESE PROGRAMS ARE INDICATED IN PARENTHESES () ON THE SCHEDULE
AND THEIR TIME ALLOTMENTS ARE LISTED HERE:
JH01 = 120 MIN EACH TIME IT IS SCHEDULED.
PU01 = 50 MIN EACH TIME IT IS SCHEDULED.
UW10 = 90 MIN PLUS APPROXIMATELY 60 MIN OF ADJOINING TWILIGHT
