(sorry for duplicate messages) The APO library has morphed again. The new floor arrangement seems to be acceptable; thanks for everyone's compliments. Only Nature magazine is being carried in the library now. Most of the other publications are being continued on site but stored in individual office space. You're welcome to check around for your favorite publication. If you can't find it, please let me know. The Astronomical Journal is no longer carried in hard copy; past microfiche issues of the Astrophysical Journal are no longer stored. The AJ will be carried by electronic subscription starting January 1998; Hard copies and microfiche are currently boxed at the Mountain Lab. Using Kurt's good suggestion, I have contacted Colorado State's library to see if they need these copies; they are accepting donations. (they were totally flooded out this summer). The Palomar survey , as well as NM tourism and recreational info are located in the file cabinets in the corner of the library. The current status of books, reports, tapes, and everything else is jumbled. Hopefully, this situation will be resolved this month. Be patient and look around; the same books are still there. A new vertical file for APO/ARC technical drawings is now located in the library. The drawings from the Mayline flatfiles in the 3.5m work area should be transferred by the first of the year and the flatfiles will be dismantled. Thank you all for helping me get this done in a short time. Gretchen Van Doren APO APO APO APO APO Apache Point Observatory 3.5m APO APO APO APO APO This is message 184 in the apo35-general archive.
