Please note the following aas a configuration change to the telescope
A decision was made effective 3-14-97 to leave a light baffle, installed at
the NA2 Port and mounted in the rotating guider box, installed for all
instruments "unless" specifically requested by the observer. This baffle
does allow for operation of the guider. This is a black foam baffle and is
most useful for the DSC but has shown to be of some benefit for DIS and
SPICAM. However due to it's placement very near the focal plane this baffle
will be of only limited benefit, although even a little improvement is
worth it until the permanent solution is established.
Other baffles currently used for some observers are still available to be
installed by request.
