                ARC 3.5M SCHEDULE FOR 3rd QUARTER 2014
                     S.Hawley, R.McMillan 6/7/2014

                        NOTES: ***PLEASE READ***

6/7/14: Initial version of Q3 schedule

Except in cases where strong science drivers dictate otherwise
(a minority of cases), observing time has again been scheduled
        in half night blocks.

There are 92 nights, or 184 half nights, in 3Q2014. Regular
engineering (EN01) time is scheduled for 2 nights (4 half
nights), all bright. Summer shutdown is scheduled for 28
        nights (56 halfs - 40B, 7G, 9D). The shutdown will be
scheduled in two blocks, July 7-24 and Aug 8-17. DD time
consists of 8 half nights (2B,1G,5D), leaving 116 half nights
        (28B, 24G, 64D) for allocation.

In addition to scheduled engineering time, science
observations may be pre-empted, sometimes on short notice, for
urgent engineering tasks. Such tasks include both work that
is required to safeguard observatory personnel or facilities
and that allows "hot pursuit" of some significant problem.

Please see links off of the APO home page (http://www.apo.nmsu.edu/)
for a web based interactive version of this schedule.

There are 3 half-nights of unallocated DD05 time in the initial
        version of the schedule.

MOST PROGRAMS ARE SCHEDULED IN HALF NIGHT BLOCKS. THE FIRST
HALF OF EACH NIGHT EXTENDS FROM SUNSET UNTIL 0110 MDT.	THE
        SECOND HALF FOLLOWS UNTIL SUNRISE.

FIRST HALF IS INDICATED BELOW AS "A"; THE SECOND, AS "B".

THIS QUARTER THREE PROGRAMS USE NON-BLOCK SCHEDULING.

INSTRUMENT CHANGE TIMES ARE NOT INCLUDED BELOW BUT WILL BE INDICATED
IN THE SCHEDULE ISSUED FROM APO AND WILL BE SHARED BETWEEN ADJOINING
        PROGRAMS AS USUAL.
