The 3.5-meter will be shutdown for the nights of March 24-27, inclusive,
for final installation of the new primary support system. Consistent with
the high priority we have assigned to telescope upgrades (as part of our
"Three Year Plan"), this engineering work is pre-empting schedule science
programs. Affected PIs are being informed by phone and by copy of this
message.

The last night of the shutdown will be devoted to activities which require
access to the sky (though not partiuclarly good conditions). If it is lost
due to weather, it may be necessary to extend the shutdown until conditions
allow us to accomplish these on-sky activities.
