Michael Strauss has set up a new mailer for an additional IR detector on the 3.5-m. It is called AMBER (The mailer is apo35-amber@astro.princeton.edu). It concerns the detector that the White Sands group is supplying for their experiments, but that is available to other users as well. Currently, the detector is still being built. You will find more on the specs in the mailer. The most important difference compared to GRIM is that it will go to 5 micron. If you would like to be put on the mailing list for it, please send e-mail to me or to Michael Strauss. Those who wanted to subscribed to all mailers have already been signed up.
