  You can look at pictures of the HDF field, comparing the HST version
with the APO version, by reading the HTML version of the document
I posted yesterday: look in the SDSS archives, at

      http://www.astro.princeton.edu:81/documents/spicam/spicam.html

The pictures appear at the end of the document.  You may also 
choose to download a cleaned FITS image of the field.
