Users of the 3.5-m telescope, and especially those who plan to use the Drift-scan Camera, may be interested in an analysis of some images taken with the 3.5-m + DSC on May 25, 1995. The analysis covers observations made only in the SDSS r' band, but I believe it may prove useful for those who are trying to figure exposure times and make observing plans. You can find the document in the SDSS Archives, under Level One Evaluation Or, if you prefer, http://astro.princeton.edu:81/levelone.eval/sa57_r/r_band.html This is a much-revised version of an earlier document. It contains about 1.2 Meg of images and graphs, but all that net-impacting stuff will only appear if you click on HTML buttons. In other words, you should be able to grab the text pretty quickly. One interesting fact is that I measure the overall throughput of the 3.5-m + DSC to be about 13% through the r' filter.
