Excerpt from PRELIMINARY ARC 3.5M SCHEDULE FOR 1ST QUARTER 2002:
IMPORTANT NOTE: Installation of upgraded detectors and electronics
on DIS is expected during 1Q2002. When this occurs DIS will have
to be taken out of service for approximately two weeks. An attempt
will be made to do this during a period that will minimize the
impact on scheduled programs (i.e., during bright time most probably),
but it is likely that at least some DIS programs will be affected.
DIS users are advised to be prepared with back-up programs and/or
plans for trades of observing time with colleagues etc.
