  I believe that every *byte* in the FITS data had its high bit flipped.
You can safely unflip the 7th (256) bit of every pixel. I've updated the mc
with a version that only flips the 15th (32768) bit, but to be safe,
tonight's data should probably be read in non-FITS format.
