DIS CALIBRATION ARCHIVE

The DIS calibration frame archive is open for use via anonymous ftp at
fos10.pha.jhu.edu:/apo/dataN where N is 2, 3, or 4. These files, mostly
bias and flat field frames, have been contributed by DIS observers for use
as a reference library.

It is most useful to have a well sampled (in time) stream of data arriving
in the archive. When you use DIS, please take a few minutes to collect
your bias and flat fields into a separate directory, add a README file, tar
the directory, and deliver it to the above machine (into /apo/incoming).
Other calibration exercises (such as Luisa Rebull's rotator experiments)
may also be deposited here. Raw data files are best; send email to
au@jhu.edu to notify me of its arrival.
