This page is still under construction; meanwhile, here's some random trivia:
- The striking resemblance between this webpage and that of my good friend Jonathan Pritchard is not coincidental, but it is with permission. I'll do something more original when I have the time.
- The alteration in the Under Construction truck picture was made using Microsoft Paint. The original image can be found here. It was originally for a department orientation event. A few years ago, my mom had it made into a mug.
- No one actually calls me Katherine, but that's the name on my publications and it sounds more official. For things like conferences and seminars, my name is equally likely to appear as Katie.
- The J stands for Jean.

- I recently appeared in PHD Comics as part of their "Conversations with Astrophysicists" series. You can see the comic here, and I've also put together some comments on the science in it.
