During this three-day event, we will celebrate Bohdan
Paczyński's life and his major contributions to many branches of
astrophysics. A memorial service will be held on Friday in the
Princeton University Chapel, and a two-day symposium covering the
many areas Bohdan contributed to will follow on the Princeton
University campus on Saturday and Sunday. Talks will be given by nine
invited speakers, and space will be provided to accommodate poster
presentations by participants.
Topics to be covered include:
- Stellar evolution
- Variable stars
- Accretion disks
- Gamma-ray bursts
- MACHOs and gravitational micro-lensing

- Virginia Trimble (UC Irvine, USA)
- Andrzej Udalski (Warsaw University Observatory, Poland)
