Extinction and Polarization by Aggregates

Bruce T. Draine, Dept. of Astrophysical Sciences, Princeton University

The paper "Sensitivity of Polarization to Grain Shape: II. Aggregates" (submitted to ApJ) discusses the extinction and polarization properties of aggregate grains. Here we provide additional material connected with that study.

Images of All 45 Aggregate Structures

The submitted paper studied a total of 45 aggregate structures. Images of 15 of the structures were included in the paper. Images of all 45 structures can be found in suppmat_v1.pdf .

Extinction and Polarization for Wavelengths from 0.1um to 100um

The submitted paper included plots showing extinction and polarization cross sections as a function of wavelength for 15 of the aggregates. Plots for all 45 structures are also included in suppmat_v1.pdf .

Additional Material

Additional material, including ddscat.par parameter files for each of the calculations, and ascii files of extinction and polarization cross sections for each aggregate, will be made available here (still being prepared for posting).
