ABSTRACT

Progress and Prospects for the Cyclic Model of the Universe

The cyclic model is an alternative to the standard big bang inflationary picture for explaining the large-scale homogeneity, isotropy and flatness of the universe and for generating a nearly scale-invariant spectrum of density perturbations. This talk will discuss recent progress that has been made in understanding and developing the model.
