In the course of observations this evening, we tried to observe the Elias infrared standard star G158-27 with the 3.5m We were unable to locate it even in f/5 mode. A check of telescope pointing on both an SAO star and another Elias standard showed it to be dead-on. I looked up the star with Simbad and found it to be a high proper motion star (-0.8", -1.8"). If you are using Elias standars, be aware of this one. -Eddie -- --------------------------------------------------------------------- Louis E.
