All, I have configured the FTP to restrict users to the directories they have logged in. The previous configuration allowed users to change to any directory other than the login directory, which is a security hole. Now, if you cd outside of the login directory tree, you will not be able to. In short, if you download files located in the login directory tree, you should not see any difference except that pwd will show '/', which is the top directory for the user.
