  		ARC 3.5M SCHEDULE FOR 2nd QUARTER 2006
                       S. Hawley, R. McMillan 4/11/06

  			NOTES: ***PLEASE READ***

4/11/06: implemented time trades, allocated OPEN and DD
time. There is one half night of OPEN time and 2 half
nights of unallocated DD time (DD06) remaining in the
         4/11/06 version of the Q2 2006 schedule.

3/25/06: implemented time trades, allocated some OPEN and
DD time. There are 3 half nights of OPEN time and 3
half nights of unallocated DD time (DD06) remaining
in the 3/25/06 version of the Q2 2006 schedule.

Except in cases where strong science drivers dictate otherwise
(a minority of cases), observing time has again been scheduled
  	in half night blocks.

There are 91 nights, or 182 half nights, in 2Q2006.
Scheduled engineering consists of 6.5 bright nights (13 half
nights) of routine EN01 time and EN02 shutdown time, which
is 7.1% of the total. DD time consists of 16 half nights,
representing 8.8% of the total. The DD half nights include
time for APOLLO, UVa, and GFP as well as discretionary time
         for the Director.

In addition to scheduled engineering time, science observations
may be pre-empted, sometimes on short notice, for urgent
engineering tasks. Such tasks include both work that is required
to safeguard observatory personnel or facilities and that allows
"hot pursuit" of some significant problem.

Please see links off of the APO home page (http://www.apo.nmsu.edu/)
for a web based interactive version of this schedule.

There are 6 half-nights of OPEN time and 4 half-nights of
unallocated DD time (DD05) in the 3/12/06 version
  	of the schedule.

MOST PROGRAMS ARE SCHEDULED IN HALF NIGHT BLOCKS. THE FIRST
HALF OF EACH NIGHT EXTENDS FROM SUNSET UNTIL 0000 MST or 0100
MDT. THE SECOND HALF FOLLOWS UNTIL SUNRISE.

FIRST HALF IS INDICATED BELOW AS "A"; THE SECOND, AS "B".

THIS QUARTER FOUR PROGRAMS USE NON-BLOCK SCHEDULING.

INSTRUMENT CHANGE TIMES ARE NOT INCLUDED BELOW BUT WILL BE INDICATED
IN THE SCHEDULE ISSUED FROM APO AND WILL BE SHARED BETWEEN ADJOINING
  	PROGRAMS AS USUAL.
