ARC 3.5M SCHEDULE FOR 4th QUARTER 2005 S.Hawley, R.McMillan 10/23/05 NOTES: ***PLEASE READ*** 10/23/05 - implemented time trades and assigned one DD half night. There are 2 remaining unscheduled DD half nights and no OPEN time in the 10/23/05 version of the schedule. Except in cases where strong science drivers dictate otherwise (a minority of cases), observing time has again been scheduled in half night blocks. There are 92 nights, or 184 half nights, in 4Q2005. Scheduled engineering consists of 6 bright nights (12 half nights) of routine EN01 time, which is 6.5% of the total. DD time consists of 15 half nights, broken up as 6D and 9B, and representing 8.2% of the total. The DD half nights include time for APOLLO, CORMASS, and GFP as well as 5 discretionary half nights for the Director. In addition to scheduled engineering time, science observations may be pre-empted, sometimes on short notice, for urgent engineering tasks. Such tasks include both work that is required to safeguard observatory personnel or facilities and that allows "hot pursuit" of some significant problem. Please see links off of the APO home page (http://www.apo.nmsu.edu/) for a web based interactive version of this schedule. There are 3 half-nights of DD time and no OPEN time available in the 9/12/05 version of the schedule. ----- EN Note: No science observations scheduled during EN time. ----- EN01 = EN01 Klae X W Routine periodic engineering time. ----- DD Note: Director's Discretionary Time ----- DD01 = DD01 Murp A O DD02 = DD02 Wils C W DD03 = DD03 Wood F O DD04 = DD04 Wala N R DD05 = DD05 Stri SN R DD06 = DD06 TBD TBD TBD ----- CU Note: 100% of nominal share scheduled. ----- CU01.N = CU01 Wala N R CU01.D = CU01 Wala D O (rh+bh) CU02 = CU02 Keen D R (rm+bl) CU03 = CU03 Hear NS R CU04 = CU04 Pern NS W TOO, not scheduled CU05 = CU05 Dros E R ----- JHU Note: 100% of nominal share scheduled. ----- JH01 = 01 Glaz E W TOO, not scheduled.
