Dear ARC Astronomers,

A web page has been written detailing relevant information about the
new NIC-FPS instrument for those users who may wish to propose its use
during Q1 of 2005. That page can be found at:

	http://tycho.apo.nmsu.edu:81/35m_manual/instruments/nicfps/
nicfps_proposal_info.html

It is also linked off the main site page for NIC-FPS:

	http://tycho.apo.nmsu.edu:81/35m_manual/instruments/nicfps/nicfps.html

There are two caveats for the use of this page:

1) The information given on the instrumental sensitivity is as
calculated, not as measured. We expect that the values given will be
close to the as-measured values.

2) Certain details of the instrument configuration may change between
now and the start of Q12005, particularly the contents of the baseline
filter set. As filters are confirmed for this set, they will be added
to the page.

Please contact me, at APO, with any questions or concerns.

Regards,

John Barentine
NIC-FPS Instrument Liaison
