SPICam's return to service has been further delayed, unfortunately. The current plan is that the repaired Cryotiger unit will be shipped back to APO today, for arrival tomorrow (9/24). It could be available for science observations as early as Wednesday night (9/25), but a day or two later is also a possibility depending on how smoothly the re-installation goes. Due to the vendor's very slow response time on this repair, we are buying a spare unit so that future failures should not take an instrument out of service for such an extended period. (DIS uses the same mechanical cooler.) Ed Turner APO APO APO APO APO Apache Point Observatory 3.5m APO APO APO APO APO This is message 610 in the apo35-general archive.
