I have sent a message around the department with no response - we have no one to use the time on short notice. Bruce's message "I was originally scheduled at APO for May 6 and May 16-17. The run on May 6 with the red CCD on DIS was a huge success. The red CCD worked far better than I had hoped. All of the red data that I need was obtained that night. However, the point of the program was to try to find evidence for a faint white dwarf. I can't do that without the blue CCD. So I'd like to return May 16-17 to the observing pool for anyone who wants the time, which is dark (the crescent moon has set)."
