Subject: DIS upgrade question

To all the DIS spectroscopists out there, a call for opinions:

When we upgrade DIS with new CCDs, how would you prefer we align the
detectors with respect to the dispersion direction?  If we align them so
that their columns are parallel to the dispersion direction, a bad column
would wipe out a strip in the spatial direction.  If we align them so that
their rows are parallel to the dispersion, a bad column would block one
pixel worth of wavelength.  Please reply to me with your preferences, so
that we can try to satisfy as many users as possible!
