The weather logger at APO has now been collecting data for just over two years (it started Feb 1, 1996). I have assembled (and cleaned a bit) the data and now make the files available on the WWW for any studies you may want to perform. The database is now being automatically refreshed each weekend to include the past week's data. Both daily min, max, median values as well as all values ever logged are available in consistently-formatted text files, which should be easy to import into most software. Missing and bad data are handled in an appropriate way. I also include some plots to give a quick peek at the contents of the database; obviously these plots can't display everything you may want to know from the data, but the database files themselves are available for that purpose. My new home page for accessing the database as well as the usual daily plots is now: http://www.astro.washington.edu/deutsch/apo/weather/index.html I don't have very much time to devote to this stuff, but questions and comments are welcome. regards, Eric ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Eric Deutsch email: deutsch@astro.washington.edu Department of Astronomy Voice: (206) 616-2788 University of Washington FAX: (206) 685-0403 Box 351580 WWW: http://www.astro.washington.edu/deutsch/ Seattle, WA 98195-1580 Physics/Astronomy Bldg., Room B356F APO APO APO APO APO Apache Point Observatory 3.5m APO APO APO APO APO This is message 253 in the apo35-general archive.
