SprintLink was upgraded their installation in Washington DC; apparently without a hitch. Hopefully we should see some improvement in network reliabilty. The fix was in the hardware. The new Gigaswitch is faster than the older switches. TOC Reply-To: insc@sprint.net sl-dc-6 and sl-dc-8 currently have a connection to each of the Gigaswitches in the D.C. TOC. All other sl-dc-*.sprintlink.net routers are currently attached to two Cisco FDDI concentrators/hubs, each of which connects to one Gigaswitch. The FDDI in D.C. is working well now and we have successfully tested various fail-over scenarios. We are pleased to announce that yet another SprintLink traffic bottleneck has been removed! Sean.
