TUI 1.9.0 is now available for Mac and unix (a Windows version may follow) from the usual location: <http://www.apo.nmsu.edu/35m_operations/TUI-images/> Warning: control-click works differently in slit viewer windows. You must first control-click to select a point on the image, then press the Center Sel button to center up. I am sorry for the inconvenience, but this change was necessary to avoid accidental unwanted motion of the telescope. Tk has some bugs in handling events that cause it to sometimes treat a normal click as a control-click. This has cost on-sky time. The new system may occasionally select a point you didn't want, but that will not move the telescope. Improvements include: - Some window state is now saved when you select "Save Window Positions". This includes which panels are open in instrument windows, and the filters in your log windows. - New log window filters offer a more efficient summary of what is going on: "Commands", "Commands and Replies" and "My Commands and Replies". There is also a "Custom" filter that allows you to create special filters (see the manual for more information). - DIS: Drift script now can drift across the slit or along it. - TSpec: Nod script now allows the user to specify the offset (useful for extended objects).
