ARC 3.5M SCHEDULE FOR 1st QUARTER 2008 S.Hawley, R.McMillan 1/11/08 NOTES: ***PLEASE READ*** 1/11/08: Assigned DD time, implemented time trades. There are 3 half nights of OPEN time and 4 half nights of unallocated DD time (DD05) in the 1/11/08 version of the schedule. 12/29/07: Changed to reflect several swaps between UC03 and UC02. 12/14/07: Assigned some DD and OPEN time, fixed some APOLLO time allocations. There are 3 half nights of OPEN time and 5 half nights of unallocated DD time (DD04) in the 12/14/07 version of the schedule. 12/9/07: There are 5 half nights of OPEN time and 7 half nights of unallocated DD time (DD03) in the 12/9/07 version of the schedule. Except in cases where strong science drivers dictate otherwise (a minority of cases), observing time has again been scheduled in half night blocks. There are 91 nights, or 182 half nights, in 1Q2008. Scheduled engineering (routine EN01 and instrument EN02) time consists of 16 half nights, and comprises 8.8% of the total. DD time consists of 14 half nights, comprising 7.7% of the total. In addition to scheduled engineering time, science observations may be pre-empted, sometimes on short notice, for urgent engineering tasks. Such tasks include both work that is required to safeguard observatory personnel or facilities and that allows "hot pursuit" of some significant problem. Please see links off of the APO home page (http://www.apo.nmsu.edu/) for a web based interactive version of this schedule. ----- EN Note: No science observations scheduled during EN time. ----- EN01 = EN01 Klae X W Routine periodic engineering time.
