                  ARC 3.5M SCHEDULE FOR 2nd QUARTER 2007
                       S.Hawley, R.McMillan 4/8/07

                          NOTES: ***PLEASE READ***

4/8/07: assigned DD time, implemented trades. There is no
OPEN or DD time left in the 4/8/07 version of the schedule.

3/16/07: assigned open and DD time. There are 2 half nights
of unallocated DD time (DD05) in the 3/16/07 version of the
          schedule.

Except in cases where strong science drivers dictate otherwise
(a minority of cases), observing time has again been scheduled
          in half night blocks.

There are 91 nights, or 182 half nights, in 2Q2007. Scheduled
engineering (routine EN01 and shutdown EN02) consists of 7
nights, or 14 half nights, all bright. Engineering time
comprises 8.9% of the total time in 2nd quarter 2007. DD time
consists of 10 half nights, broken up as 4B, 1G, 5D and
          representing 6.3% of the total. Computing 182 - 14 - 10 leaves
158 half nights for allocation by the institutions, which break
          down as 68B, 25G, and 65D.

In addition to scheduled engineering time, science
observations may be pre-empted, sometimes on short notice, for
urgent engineering tasks. Such tasks include both work that
is required to safeguard observatory personnel or facilities
and that allows "hot pursuit" of some significant problem.

Please see links off of the APO home page
          (http://www.apo.nmsu.edu/)
for a web based interactive version of this schedule.

There are 4 half nights of unallocated DD time (DD03) and
2 half nights of OPEN time in the 3/4/07 version of the
          schedule.

MOST PROGRAMS ARE SCHEDULED IN HALF NIGHT BLOCKS. THE FIRST
HALF OF EACH NIGHT EXTENDS FROM SUNSET UNTIL 0100 MDT. THE
          SECOND HALF FOLLOWS UNTIL SUNRISE.

FIRST HALF IS INDICATED BELOW AS "A"; THE SECOND, AS "B".

THIS QUARTER FIVE PROGRAMS USE NON-BLOCK SCHEDULING.

INSTRUMENT CHANGE TIMES ARE NOT INCLUDED BELOW BUT WILL BE INDICATED
IN THE SCHEDULE ISSUED FROM APO AND WILL BE SHARED BETWEEN ADJOINING
          PROGRAMS AS USUAL.
