If an echelle observation is interrupted for the GRB program the
observer will have the advantage that there will not be an instrument
switch at the MC, but there will also not be a tertiary rotation
required so the echelle observer may not have much time to get his or
her frame.

When we commissioned the echelle I believe we determined that there
was no noise penalty for reading out the CCD while slewing the
telescope, and this group may want to take advantage of that fact.

I would urge someone to verify this before trusting that nothing has
changed in the meantime, but it seems worth mentioning that at some
point this was the case.
